Onstage in 1976, Bharat Gopy played Vadivelavan, now considered one of the most iconic performances in folk theatre along with Jagannathan’s portrayal of the lead Mendicant Revellers ( Attapandarams) and Nedumudi Venu’s lead Pattu Parisha ( Village Minstrels ).
