  1. I have seen this movie countless number of times. I had earlier an authentic VHS copy published by VG Paneerdas, but that was stolen. The versions I see online nowadays and on VCD have poor picture quality and many parts of scenes cut.

    The movie is perfect.

Bharat Gopy sir’s entry is late, in the 2nd half, but the greatest impact is carried therein. The first half has its share of memorable characters and wonderful dialogues, but the 2nd half is where the sheer presence of Bharat Gopy sir really puts in the punch as evil incarnate, especailly evident in the last scene where the character of Ayyappan gets murdered by Rohini. Overall, it was well acted and wonderful, to say the least.

I think it could even be a textbook for editing and direction.

Just to satisfy one’s curiosity, where was the location for Bahavan Theatre office, the place where Ayyapan’s body was found, and Ayyapan’s house?
